Crikey, mate!

It’s been a while, hasn’t it fellow Bloon Readers. All 10 of you must miss me greatly :). Sadly, I don’t come with a joke. I have sad, sad knews.

So probably everyone has heard, but the amazing Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin was killed a few days ago on an adventure during a filming expedition on the Great Barrier Reef. Steve was swimming underwater and he swam over a stingray and he got stung by its barb on his chest.

I’m so depressed man. I loved that guy. I thought he was the Superman of Crocodiles/Deadly Animals. I thought he was invincible. Apparently the stingray was his kryptonite. :(

He died while getting taped so they have his last moments on video, even when he got stung. This is really morbid of me, but I kind of want to see that video. Haha.

You can find out more about what happened/about what they’re going to do for his Memorial Service etc; here.

Although reports are conflicting, they’re saying that he pulled the barb out of his own heart before he died.

I find it dryly amusing that while he has wrestled hundreds of alligators and crocodiles, he ended up dying because of an animal you can pet in a touch pool.

But Steve Irwin always was a constant in my life. I guess I assumed that he would always be there. If all else fails, well, at least the Crocodile Hunter will be here.
    But no more.

I truly miss him already. Crikey, indeed.

I think he pulled it out while saying “Crikey, I think I’m dieing, mates!”

Aw. Yeah, I agree Blade. But he’s so awesome with Crocs, and apparently not as slick with other animals, hence the name, Crocodile Hunter and not Stingray Searcher or something like that, haha.

Apparently if he were to die on this show, they expected it to end like this. :-/. Poor Steve.

    “…’dying’…

  5. 5 BloonChick

……haha thanks MB. I thought that didn’t look correct :-P

As least he suffered a death that noone will forget. I know that at least I will never be able to say “Steve Irwin? Oh! The Crocodile Hunter….how did he die again?”

    Who’s next? Chuck Norris?

  7. 7 The Bloon Blade

    No. Chuck Norris cannot die.

Well, that’s not true. Chuck Norris actually died a long time ago. The Grim Reaper just hasn’t worked up the balls to tell him.

  8. 8 RandomBloon

    Haha.
Nice little Chuck Norris joke thrown in there. Its a shame I’ve heard that one before…

We should start a Chuck Norris joke competition..in uh..honor of Steve.
    :D

  9. 9 BloonChick

    Memorial Service?
Does it include alligator wrestling and pissing off giant snakes?

  11. 11 BloonChick

    Haha Sigg3.

In complete seriousness, my Aunt from Cali called and told me she was thinking about sending flowers.

But then again, she is also the person who feels that celebrities are her family and the People Mag is the best book ever. :)

  12. 12 Sigg3

Yeah that’s great. Sending dead plants to people you’ve never met, because watching them on tv is better:)

The only thing I’ve sent to a celebrity was an e-mail bomb.

  13. 13 The Bloon Blade

The only thing I’ve sent to a celebrity was a bullet…
    in the HEAD

    But no, not really.

  14. 14 BloonChick

    You wish, Bladeypie

  15. 15 MaxPower

yeah it was sad, it would have been poetic justice if he had been eaten by a croc
but since he died by a freak accident, damn

So, the question we all are keeping to ourselves:
when will the video clip be free for download?
