A Series of Unfortunate Events

A Series of Unfortunate Events

As some would say, “…An entirely Fortunate event - for children and their parents!” ~Thelma Adams, US WEEKLY.

This movie is one of those that could be better, but all in all it was a awesome movie. The only lacking part; the dialogue was a bit dry. Otherwise everything else was beautiful! Here is the Bloon Stats.

On too the review eh? Well the best part of the movie by far is the cinematography. The lighting is perfect, the angles are precise, the actors can act. The “look” of the movie is perfect, absolutly purrrrrfect. Speaking of the “look” of a movie, the costumes were beautiful and dynamic as well. One particulary hilarious bit is Count Olaf’s (Jim Carrey) permanent Louisiana air-boat styled haircut. You really need to see the movie, if only for that.

Another interesting part of the movie is Jim Carrey. I must debate wether or not he did a good job. His character certainly has the most energy and “spark” but there he is, delivering distracting one-liners and elastic expressions throughout this otherwise wondrously creepy adaptation of the children’s book series.

A Series of Unfortunate Events

Apart from the certain lightness Jim Carry brings into the fray, the movie as a whole is a fun ride through a fairytale land that Lemony Snicket has created. From rickshacks on mountainsides to three-eyed toads, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events is one scary rollercoaster through fantasyland.

A. Due to the cliffhanger there will be a sequel.
B. The sequel will be something to look forward to.
C. For those still debating whether or not to go, atleast go to see Jim Carrey impersonate a dinosaur…
